Palma hotel theft: €1,000 in staff tips vanishes

Around €1,000 in staff tips, a laptop and a sports camera have disappeared from a hotel in central Palma, police say. National Police arrested a Spanish man who works at the hotel after its security manager made a complaint last Saturday. The arrest was announced on 16 September.

The laptop, belonging to another employee, was valued at €1,700 and two chargers were also reported missing. Police said the suspect had also allegedly taken a company tablet.

Criminal investigators identified a hotel employee as the suspected thief. On the day of the complaint, officers received information that he could be near the hotel. A patrol found him in the area and arrested him.
