On Mallorca, a stabbing in a park beside Palma’s Plaza de Tubo leaves an 18-year-old seriously injured on Friday, 23 October. Medics take him to Son Espases University Hospital, where he undergoes emergency surgery after the wound reaches an organ. Spain’s National Police are investigating whether a dispute between youth gang members is linked to the attack.

Police patrols arrive at the park after 13.00. Witnesses tell officers that three young men were fighting. Two allegedly lunged at the third, and one is said to have stabbed him with a sharp object. Medics stabilise the injured man at the scene before taking him to hospital.

The National Police’s Provincial Information Brigade has taken over the case. Officers are looking for two suspects around the victim’s age and have identified one of them. They do not yet know which suspect stabbed him. A link to a youth gang dispute remains a possibility, not an established motive.
