Palma stabbing: man wounded in Plaza Gomila fight

A man suffered wounds to his neck and torso during a fight in Plaza Gomila, Palma, at about 05.00 on Saturday. Plain-clothes National Police officers went to the square after seeing the disturbance and treated him before he was taken to Son Espases University Hospital. Police have arrested an 18-year-old Spanish man after the injured man identified him as the suspected attacker.
Police say the suspect used a broken bottle or drinking glass. The reason for the fight is not yet known.
The National Police are investigating the detainee on suspicion of attempted homicide.
