Mallorca: Prosecutors seek 11 years in prison for a man accused of raping his former partner in Palma despite court orders barring him from approaching or contacting her. His trial begins at 10am on Friday before the Second Section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands. The alleged rape took place on the roof of the building where he lived.

According to the prosecution, the man sent his former partner an image linked to an unresolved court case between them on 27 June 2025. Two days later, he sent several messages and called her, but she did not answer. In the early hours of 30 June, he reached her. They met in a park in Palma and went to the roof.

The prosecutor alleges that he undressed her, touched her sexually and raped her despite her repeated refusals. The woman has since experienced severe confusion and anxiety, according to the prosecution. She has a recognised disability rating of 55%.

Prosecutors also accuse the man of breaching the court order. They seek 15,000 euros in compensation for the woman.
