Palma, Mallorca, has 6% fewer homes advertised for rent since Spain approved royal housing decrees on 6 October. Across the Balearic Islands, though, the number has not changed. Property website idealista reported the figures on Thursday, 5 November 2026.

The Balearics are the only Spanish autonomous region where rental listings have held steady. Across Spain, they fell by an average of 19% over the same period. Madrid and Cantabria each lost 26% of their listings, while Navarra and Castile and León each lost 25%.

Palma recorded the smallest fall among provincial capitals; Teruel lost 46% of its rental listings. Melilla's supply stayed unchanged, while Ceuta had 6% more homes advertised for rent.
