Palma, Mallorca: a crash involving around five cars causes six kilometres of queues on the city’s ring road before 08.00 on Friday 16 October. No one is seriously hurt, according to Spain’s Directorate-General for Traffic. The cars collided in a chain-reaction rear-end crash near the Can Blau roundabout.

Paramedics went to the scene to attend to anyone who might have been injured. Several recovery trucks removed the cars, which had blocked the left-hand lane for a few minutes.

Traffic eased after the cars were removed, though queues remained roughly between kilometres seven and five of the ring road. Separately, traffic was slow on the Inca motorway where drivers join the ring road towards Andratx. The report says that delay was not linked to the crash.
