Palma: Son Llàtzer buses drop to hourly runs

Buses serving Son Llàtzer hospital in Palma are set to run only once an hour under new EMT timetables, PSOE Palma says. The party denounced the changes on Monday, 14 September, calling them a “brutal cut” in services. Routes 27 and 28, the circular services for Son Llàtzer, would move from every 30 minutes to every hour.

Hospital and airport links face longer waits

PSOE Palma says the new weekday timetable puts the Son Llàtzer circular routes on the same hourly pattern previously used at weekends.

The L34 between Son Espases and the airport would also become less frequent on working days, running every 70 minutes rather than every 45. Its final departure would move forward from 20.45 to 19.45.

Promenade and Bonanova services also affected

The L30, which runs from the Marivent park-and-ride car park to the Congress Palace via the Paseo Marítimo, would fall from a bus every 30 minutes to one every hour, according to the party.

The L46 shuttle to La Bonanova, introduced when the Saridakis bridge closed, would change from every 30 minutes to every 45. PSOE Palma also says routes 4 between Illetes and Nou Llevant, 5 between Rafal Nou and Plaça Progrés, and 8 between Son Roca and Sindicat would each lose a minute in frequency.

Francesc Dalmau, the party’s spokesperson on Palma City Council, called on Partido Popular and Vox to revise the timetables and publish new ones. PSOE Palma says Rafal Nou, Son Roca, Nou Llevant, Illetes, La Bonanova and Gènova would lose service, along with Son Fusteret at weekends.
