Mallorca rape trial: man accused of spiking a drink
Mallorca: A man goes on trial in Palma at 10.00 on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, accused of spiking a woman’s drink and raping her after she lost consciousness. Prosecutors say he filmed the alleged attack and saved the footage on a memory card. The second section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands is hearing the case.
The woman went to the man’s home in Palma on 19 November 2019 to buy cocaine, according to the prosecution. The indictment does not say whether he gave her any. Prosecutors say he offered her a marijuana joint and a drink, then put an unspecified substance in the drink so she would lose consciousness.
They are seeking 13 years and six months in prison and 100,000 euros in compensation for the woman.
