Palma station’s past takes centre stage Tuesday
Palma station’s changing surroundings will be in focus at the Terminus Building on Tuesday, when historian Gaspar Valero speaks at 18.00. His talk follows the route from the Portes Pintades to today’s Intermodal station at Plaça d’Espanya. Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca is staging the event during European Mobility Week.
The session falls on Car-Free Day. Valero will trace how this part of Palma, Mallorca, has been reshaped over time.
The Terminus lecture series began in December 2025. Previous speakers have covered Mallorca’s railway past, the protection and sharing of heritage, the train’s role in the island’s economic and social development, and the railway network’s current and future challenges.
Valero is a historian, writer and cultural communicator with a History degree from the University of the Balearic Islands. He has published widely on Mallorca’s past and heritage, with a particular focus on Palma, and has created several cultural routes.
