Mallorca is part of a province forecast to be among Spain’s busiest for home swaps over the Pilar holiday weekend: the Balearic Islands. HomeExchange expects more than 2,500 swaps nationwide, involving more than 8,500 travellers and close to 30,000 overnight stays. The platform set out its forecast on 8 October 2026.

Most of those swaps will stay within Spain, HomeExchange predicts: around 2,000, or 75% of the total. The Balearic Islands appear alongside Madrid, Barcelona, Girona and Seville on its list of provinces with the most activity.

For members in Spain travelling abroad, France, the UK, Italy and Portugal are the leading choices. HomeExchange says it has more than 80,000 homes available across Spain. It gives no separate forecast for Mallorca; the ranking covers the Balearic Islands as a whole.
