Two other projects win 8,000 euros each. Isidoro García Díaz receives the prize for innovation in art education for a project linking Miró, sound art and artificial intelligence. José Carlos Martín García wins the research prize for ‘Escrito en la arena’, a project about Miró and his artistic and cultural world.

The six grants account for 14,000 euros of the total. Mercedes Balle, Karolina Wysocka, Desirée Moreno and Albert Ramírez Bonay each receive 2,000 euros and free enrolment in Joan Miró’s printmaking workshops. Maria Antònia Aloy and Marina Uguet each receive 3,000 euros for projects in the ‘Mons Creatius’ family programme.

The prizes and grants take their name from Pilar Juncosa, Miró’s wife. She set them up in 1993 to support young talent.
