Mallorca could see Podemos and Ara Més on the same general-election list: the parties are discussing a left-wing alliance in the Balearic Islands on 15 October 2026. They have until Friday to register any coalition with the Electoral Board. No deal has been announced.

Podemos leader Ione Belarra set out the wider plan in an interview with Spanish public radio RNE. Her party is offering to join forces with United Left (IU) in constituencies across ten autonomous communities. It is also talking to Compromís in the Valencian Community and Chunta in Aragón.

Madrid and Barcelona may be different. Belarra believes separate left-wing lists there would cost fewer votes than in other constituencies. For Mallorca, the question remains whether the talks with Ara Més will produce a joint list before Friday’s deadline.
