Mallorca’s €3,000 Pop Rock prize is up for grabs: five acts take the stage at Es Gremi in Palma, Mallorca, on 15 November for the 2026 final. Ulls Secs, MiQ Puigserver, Cometa Javi, Pau Vizcaíno and Espurna are the finalists. The jury named them on Monday, 2 November, after considering 92 entries and hearing 16 semi-finalists, according to Palma City Council.

Five different sounds in the final

Ulls Secs play alternative rock. The Mallorcan band released its first album in 2025 and is recording a second. Espurna, another alternative-rock band, comes from Manacor. It won first prize at the Ciutat de Manacor de Cançó Guillem de Efak awards in June.

Palma trio Cometa Javi mix indie rock with Midwest emo. MiQ Puigserver has released his first solo album after playing in several bands, while Palma-based Pau Vizcaíno makes music between pop-funk and hip-hop.

Prizes first, guest acts later

The top three finishers will receive €3,000, €2,000 and €1,000. The winner could also secure a paid place on the next Fira B programme, with payment from the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics. Festival and music-project awards remain open to all 16 semi-finalists, including those who missed the final.

The finalists perform first. Then come guest appearances by U.R. Bad, last year’s winners, and Palma musician Maika Makovski. Singer and actress Helena Miquel will join the jury for the final decision.
