Cala en Porter power cut leaves 1,561 without power
A power cut has left 1,561 Endesa customers in Cala en Porter, Menorca, without electricity since Friday morning. The fault began at 10.40am on 25 September in a section of overhead distribution line. Endesa says repairs are under way and supply should return soon.
The damaged stretch is a medium-voltage section at the end of the line. That means those affected cannot be supplied through alternative routes or back-up networks. The interruption will continue until the cable repairs are complete.
Endesa is also working with the Island Council of Menorca on a planned ring to provide a double electricity supply. The project would install an underground cable along the road.
