Ibiza power upgrade aims to help 2,281 customers
In Caló d'en Real, Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Ibiza, 2,281 electricity customers stand to benefit from an upgrade to underground power cables. Endesa said on 3 November 2026 that its subsidiary e-distribución has committed 324,369 euros to four sections of the local network.
The work covers 993 metres of cable. Two sections, totalling 581 metres, are already in service. Work on the other two, covering 412 metres, is finished, but they have yet to be switched on.
Endesa says the upgrade will give the network more capacity as electricity demand grows, particularly in months with higher consumption. It also expects a more reliable supply and a better response to faults. For now, two completed sections remain out of service.
