Mallorca PP picks architect for Llucmajor mayor race

In Llucmajor, Mallorca, the People's Party (PP) puts architect Mateo Palmer forward for mayor in May 2027. The local party board has approved his nomination.
The PP says it wants a candidate with a focus on management and planning. It plans to listen to people in Llucmajor, put everyday problems at the centre of its campaign and build a broad majority before the election.
Palmer says the municipality is not doing well. He wants to speak to local people, bring others into the campaign and build a team to find solutions.
