Palma car parks add bays for families and pregnant women

Two bays in every municipal short-stay car park in Palma, Mallorca, now give families with young children and pregnant women priority parking. Palma City Council announced the change on Monday, 28 September 2026. The marked bays are close to lifts and stairs, making access easier for families with babies, small children or pushchairs.

The bays are in the Vía Roma, Manacor, Santa Pagesa, Park sa Riera, Avenidas, Parc de la Mar, Plaza Mayor, Comtat del Rosselló and Marquès de la Sénia car parks. Manacor is the name of a car park in Palma, not a car park in the town of Manacor. The council says the spaces are intended to make parking and access easier for families and pregnant women.
