Prohens brings Balearic pride to Spain’s national day

Balearic president Marga Prohens represents the islands in Madrid, Spain, on 12 October: she says she feels both “emotion” and “responsibility” on a day shared by all Spaniards. In a post on X for Spain’s national day, she says the country’s strength lies in its regions, history and people.
Prohens says she is proud of what brings Spain together and of the part the Balearic Islands play in its future. She also thanks the Spanish armed forces and the Guardia Civil for their service, sends warm wishes to those far from home and their families, and remembers those who gave their lives for Spain.
