Mallorca property manager faces trial over €291,000

Mallorca: A 59-year-old property manager faces trial on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, accused of taking more than €291,000 from three owners’ associations in Palma and Calvià on the island. The Second Section of the Provincial Court in Palma is due to hear his case at 10.00. Prosecutors are seeking seven years in prison.

Money from three associations

Prosecutors say the man withdrew cash, transferred money to his personal account and issued and cashed bank documents. The largest alleged loss is €226,240 at an owners’ association in Portals Nous, Mallorca, which he managed from 2005 to 2021.

At an association in Palma, he allegedly took more than €20,000 between 2019 and 2021 and paid back about €9,000. An association in Cas Català, Mallorca, which he managed from 2021 to 2022, is seeking almost €45,000 from him. He has repaid €500 of that sum.

Prosecutors seek prison term

Prosecutors also want a €4,800 fine and a ban on working as a property manager for the length of the prison sentence. In seeking that sentence, they have treated his partial repayments and a mental health impairment as mitigating factors.
