Balearic property prices: 13% of homes sell after 7% cuts

Across the Balearic Islands, 13% of homes listed on property portal Idealista in the second quarter of 2026 sold only after their asking price was reduced. The average cut was 7%.
Idealista puts the average reduction across the islands at €96,326. In Palma, the percentage cut was also 7%, while the average reduction in cash terms was €77,906.
Across Spain, more sellers lowered their expectations than a year earlier. Some 16% of advertised homes had their prices reduced in the second quarter of 2026, up from 13% in the same period of 2025. Those reductions averaged €28,280, or 6% of the original asking price.
