Mallorca: Proyecto Hombre marks 39 years

Colourful fans in Proyecto Hombre Baleares’ logo colours were waiting on seats as the organisation marked its 39th anniversary in Palma on Thursday, 4 September. Users, relatives, professionals and volunteers gathered under the motto “39 years, a fan full of opportunities”. The evening began at 19.30 with the fans arranged into a mosaic of the organisation’s logo.

President Jesús Mullor highlighted the work of current users, who are striving each day for independence and a new life project. Musicians Marisa Rojas and Esperança Sureda performed two short pieces before users, relatives, people who had completed treatment, professionals and volunteers shared their experiences.

Founder Tomeu Català closed the event by saying that life offers choices: people can take on the role of victim or become the protagonist of their own story.
