Mallorca road closures: race and rally disrupt traffic

Four mountain roads on Mallorca face intermittent closures this weekend as a race and a rallysprint disrupt traffic. The Mallorca by UTMB mountain race affects routes in the Serra de Tramuntana from Friday to Sunday. On Saturday 31 October, the II Rallysprint del Pla de Mallorca also restricts roads in the Pla de Mallorca.

Mountain race affects four roads

The Ma-10 through Estellencs on Mallorca has intermittent closures over two kilometres on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, closures affect more than five kilometres of the same road in Deià.

Friday and Saturday also bring closures over one kilometre of the Ma-1100 in Esporles and on the Ma-1110 in Valldemossa. On Sunday, just over 1.5 kilometres of the Ma-1150 in Puerto de Sóller are affected.

Rallysprint restricts Saturday traffic

The rallysprint affects roads between Montuïri and Porreres, and between Algaida and Llucamajor. Restrictions fall between 09.00 and 20.00 on Saturday, with the timing depending on the stretch of road.

The Mallorca Island Council’s Roads Service recommends checking its online traffic-incident map for the affected stretches.
