Rafa Nadal returns to court in Mallorca as his team wins
In Manacor, Mallorca, Rafa Nadal returns to the court on Saturday, 3 October, for his academy’s tenth anniversary: his team wins the deciding match after a 3-3 draw with Andy Murray’s side.
Six matches leave Team Rafa and Team Murray level. Nadal plays alongside Carlos Moyà, David Ferrer and Richard Gasquet. Murray’s teammates are Marat Safin, Dominic Thiem and Fabio Fognini. The academy opened on 19 October 2016, with Roger Federer among the guests. It now has a presence in Kuwait, Costa Mujeres, Punta Cana, Greece, Egypt, Marbella and Hong Kong. Brazil is set to follow in 2027 and Lombok, Indonesia, in 2028. After the tennis, David Bisbal performs to close the anniversary celebration.
