Mallorca rain forecast despite unusually warm weather
Mallorca could see light rain from Monday, 28 September 2026, while the Balearic Islands remain warmer than usual. The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) says isolated rain is possible on Monday, with highs of 28 to 31 degrees Celsius across the islands. An easterly wind is also blowing.
Cloud will build on Tuesday, with occasional rain possible before the sky begins to clear in the afternoon. Highs across the Balearics will reach 28 to 32 degrees Celsius. Aemet says 25.5 degrees Celsius is usual for this time of year.
Wednesday starts with little cloud, but the sky will grow cloudier through the morning. Light, isolated rain remains possible, and the moist easterly wind could bring patches of fog. Daytime temperatures across the islands will rise slightly.
Cloud and occasional rain are also forecast for Thursday, Friday and the weekend, though daytime temperatures will fall on Thursday. Aemet links this week’s light rain to a trough of low pressure that will bring heavier rain to mainland Spain. Next week, it expects more intense rain across the Balearics, with amounts potentially 50% above usual and weather warnings likely.
