Mallorca, in Spain’s Balearic Islands, remains under a rain warning on Tuesday, 3 November, with heavy or persistent showers and thunderstorms possible. Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) also has rain warnings in place for Ibiza and Formentera.

Aemet expects cloudy skies across the Balearics. High pressure over the British Isles is bringing easterly winds that carry moist air towards the islands.

Aemet spokesman Rubén del Campo says very heavy, persistent showers could make Tuesday difficult along parts of the Balearic coast, including areas hit by torrential rain earlier this autumn. The forecast does not say which parts of Mallorca face the greatest risk.
