Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) also has yellow warnings for Eivissa and Formentera from 07.00. Those islands could see up to 60 litres per square metre over 12 hours.

The warnings run all day. In response, the Balearic Islands’ 112 emergency service has activated a yellow alert, known as IG0 under the Meteobal plan, for all three islands and urged people to take care.
