According to the prosecution indictment, the man met the woman at a party in Palma in the early hours of 30 October 2022. They then went to his home, where he is accused of locking her in a room and raping her despite her repeated requests for him to stop.

The woman became pregnant and has needed psychological treatment, the prosecution says. It cites trouble sleeping and eating, anxiety attacks and a feeling of rejection towards men. The defendant is presumed innocent unless proved guilty.
