Palma rape trial: 12 years sought over alleged attack

A man goes on trial in Palma on Tuesday, accused of raping a woman while she slept at her home. The Second Section of the Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands will hear the case at 10am on Tuesday and Wednesday. Prosecutors are seeking 12 years in prison and 25,000 euros in compensation.
The alleged attack took place in the early hours of 30 October 2022, according to the prosecution. Prosecutors say the man accompanied the woman to her home, waited for her to fall asleep, undressed her and raped her.
