RCD Mallorca's 28 players pose at Raixa for team photo
Mallorca's Raixa estate in Bunyola gives RCD Mallorca's 28 players a backdrop of dry-stone walls for their official 2026-2027 team photo. The visit, reported on 11 October 2026, also brought the club's sporting staff, led by corporate chief executive Alfonso Díaz. Pedro Bestard, the Mallorca Island Council's second vice-president, and island sports director Toni Prats accompanied them.
The photograph picks out details of the walls, known locally as pedra en sec. Bestard welcomed the choice of Raixa, calling the public estate a symbol of the island's heritage and a place of shared identity.
The council bought Raixa in 2002. Bestard said the estate and its surroundings help explain Mallorca's rural customs and the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape also designated a Site of Cultural Interest. Raixa's gardens belong to the European Route of Historic Gardens, which marked its tenth anniversary in 2026.
