Alcúdia recycling activity engages Viu l’Estiu children

Children attending Alcúdia’s Viu l’Estiu summer programme took part in a recycling-awareness activity in the Mallorcan municipality on Tuesday, 18 August 2026. The event was held as part of Ecovidrio’s seventh Movimiento Banderas Verdes campaign.

Participants created recycling-themed drawings to enter a draw for two Ecovidrio mini glass containers. Francisco Rodríguez, the councillor for General Services and the Environment, discussed the importance of separating waste correctly with the children. Mayor Fina Linares and EMSA president Laura Serra also attended.

This summer, 103 restaurants, bars and kiosks in Alcúdia have joined the campaign, which aims to help the municipality retain its Green Flag for Sustainability award.
