Mallorca and the rest of Spain’s Balearic Islands: an estimated 69,154 rental contracts due to expire between 2026 and 2028 qualify for an extension on the same terms until 31 December 2028. The rule takes effect on Thursday, 1 October 2026. Spain’s Ministry of Consumer Affairs based its estimate on a household survey.
