A restaurant owner in Es Pujols, Formentera, catches a suspected thief, but the man flees with several tablets worth almost €2,000. The Civil Guard arrests him there on Tuesday over a series of thefts from local restaurants.
Restaurant owners reported the thefts in early October, the Civil Guard says. Security cameras recorded the incidents. Investigators identified the suspect after reports that tablets and cash had been stolen.
The man has been brought before a court. The Civil Guard is still investigating similar thefts and trying to recover the stolen items.
