Ibiza rubbish and pet breaches trigger 85 cases

Eivissa on Ibiza has logged 85 cases over rubbish and pet-rule breaches between 1 January and 8 August 2026. Of those, 61 concern rubbish rules and 24 involve inconsiderate behaviour linked to pets. The town hall released the figures.

Most rubbish cases involved bags or household waste left outside authorised times or collection points. The authorities also recorded 27 incidents involving dumped rubble or other materials.

Eivissa Local Police dealt with 224 animal-related incidents. These included 58 reports of missing pets, 53 abandonments and 19 cases linked to the Animal Welfare Law.

From Monday, officers will run a week of extra checks targeting breaches of the rubbish ordinance. The town hall warned that putting rubbish out beyond the permitted hours can bring hefty fines, while the campaign will also press the message that small actions matter.
