The speakers come from the Balearic Islands and elsewhere in Spain. Their talks cover marine biology, astronomy and artistic heritage, as well as cell regeneration, linguistics and chemistry. Each lasts about 20 minutes and uses images, theatre or other artistic elements to help explain the research. Speakers include Miguel Ángel Cajigal, known as El Barroquista, Laura López and Javier Armentia.

The University of the Balearic Islands and science platform Naukas organise the event. Alongside the talks, the public can visit a display of scientific experiments. The programme is open to families, school pupils, university students, teachers and anyone interested in science. It ends with the university presenting the prizes from its seventh science communication competition.
