Mallorca property: Palma up 3.3%, Balearics top Spain
Palma, Mallorca, sees second-hand home prices rise 3.3% in October from a year earlier. Across the Balearic Islands, the average price reaches €5,619 per square metre — the highest of any Spanish autonomous community.
The islands’ prices rise 4.2% year on year, the smallest increase of any autonomous community, according to figures released by property platform Idealista on Wednesday, 4 November 2026. Spain’s average increase is 11.2%, but its average price remains far lower, at €2,955 per square metre. Madrid is the next most expensive community, at €5,066.
Among provincial capitals, only Madrid records a smaller price rise than Palma, at 1.3%. Málaga follows Palma at 3.4%, then Valencia at 4.3% and Barcelona at 4.7%. For anyone looking at a second-hand home in Palma, the slower rise has not changed the wider picture: the Balearics remain Spain’s most expensive region.
