Mallorca self-employed: up to €3,000 in grants
On Mallorca, self-employed workers with more than three years in business could claim up to 3,000 euros from January 2027 for investments made in 2026. The Balearic Ministry of Business, the Self-Employed and Energy plans three rounds of grants across the Balearic Islands between January and May.
The January grant could help pay for replacement equipment, digital tools and changes that make daily work easier. In February, applications are due to open for Escudo del Autónomo, a scheme covering social security contributions during sickness leave taken in 2026. It compensates workers for contributions during the first two months of leave, starting on the first day.
A further round of Cuota Cero, a social security contribution support scheme for people in their first years of self-employment, is planned for May. It covers the full reduced contribution in the first year and, if income rules are met, in the second. In the third year, it covers half, subject to a monthly cap.
The final application dates, eligibility rules and conditions have yet to be set. The Self-Employed Office offers information and help with applications, including through its website.
