Mallorca leads self-employed advice tally with 100 queries
Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, leads the island tally with 100 queries to a travelling advice service for the self-employed. The service logged 227 one-to-one consultations across the four islands during 15 operating days between 23 September and 16 October. The Balearic Ministry of Enterprise, the Self-Employed and Energy released the figures on Monday, 2 November.
People most often asked about help for established self-employed workers and the Cuota Cero programme. Those subjects came up in 94 and 90 consultations respectively. Another 76 covered hiring staff. People considering self-employment also asked how to register and start work.
Eivissa accounted for 63 queries, Menorca 58 and Formentera six. The island tally reflects the island named in each query, which did not always match the location of the advice point. Among Mallorca’s towns, Alcúdia recorded 20 queries, Felanitx 17 and Calvià 13. The total of 227 counts consultations, not everyone who stopped to ask for information.
