Palma seniors' party brings music to Plaza Mayor

Palma, Mallorca: Music and dancing bring older people to Plaza Mayor on Sunday, 4 October, for the city’s second Tardeo de Gent Gran. A DJ starts playing different styles of music at around 17.00, with the event due to end at 20.00.
Palma City Council says the gathering marks the Day of Older People on 1 October and aims to encourage older people to take an active part in city life. Mayor Jaime Martínez attends, while the city’s Federation of Associations of Older People and several neighbourhood associations help put on the event.
