On the island of Ibiza, Spain’s National Police stop seven migrants as they walk along Avenida 8 de Agosto in the city of Eivissa at around 06.00 on Saturday 17 October. The seven had arrived on the island by boat.
The Spanish government’s delegation says the group is from the Maghreb. Its account places the police encounter on the avenue but does not say where the boat arrived. It gives no details about what happened to the seven people after officers stopped them.
