A sewage spill shuts two beaches in Sant Josep, Ibiza, to swimmers: Cala Tarida and Caló d'en Serral are closed to bathing. Sant Josep council announced the closures on its social media channels on 4 October 2026.
The council is urging people not to swim in either area until further notice. It has not given a date for lifting the closures, but says it hopes to reopen both coves for bathing as soon as possible. For now, the warning remains in place at both Cala Tarida and Caló d'en Serral.
