More than €1,000 in goods: police arrest a 42-year-old woman at a shopping centre in Marratxí, Mallorca, after finding perfumes on her and clothes, trainers and more perfumes in her car. Plain-clothes officers spotted her entering a perfume shop on Thursday afternoon, Spain’s Civil Guard said on Friday. When she came out, they stopped her and found several perfumes she had just taken from the shop.

Officers searched her car and found a large quantity of clothes and trainers from a well-known brand, all still tagged, along with perfumes taken from other nearby shops. The Civil Guard said she had numerous previous records for similar offences. She has been brought before a court on suspicion of repeated theft.
