Mallorca workers: 100 places to train as assessors
Eligible workers on Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, can apply for one of 100 places on a course to become professional skills advisers and assessors. Applications run from 2 to 8 November, ahead of a single in-person session on 26 November. The Balearic Islands Ministry of Education and Universities says it needs more qualified people to handle demand for official recognition of skills gained through work or outside formal education.
Who can apply
Applicants must be employed professionals, registered as residents in the Balearic Islands and able to show at least four years’ relevant work experience. The course covers 27 qualifications across seven fields, including commerce and marketing, hospitality and tourism, electrical work and information technology. The qualifications range from sales and customer service to accommodation management and workplace safety.
Applications and training
Applications must be submitted online through the Balearic Islands Institute of Professional Qualifications website, with documents proving eligibility. The only training session takes place from 09.00 to 13.00 on 26 November at the ministry’s headquarters. Those who complete the course can advise and assess people seeking official recognition of skills in the qualifications for which they are approved.
