The Guardia Civil has arrested a 20-year-old on suspicion of causing serious injury. A second man, aged 22, is under investigation for a lesser injury offence.

According to the Guardia Civil, the victim saw a man insulting and bothering the woman before hitting her in the face. When he tried to intervene, the man began punching him.

A second man then struck the victim on the forehead with a glass bottle, causing the skull fracture. The 22-year-old was left on the ground bleeding heavily, and the attack stopped only when officers and medical crews arrived.

The two men initially fled but were later found and identified, the Guardia Civil said.
