Mallorca drug case: five years sought over Son Banya hut
Five years in prison each: that is what prosecutors are seeking for two people accused of selling drugs from a hut at the entrance to Son Banya in Palma, Mallorca. The First Section of the Balearic Islands Provincial Court holds a pre-trial hearing on Tuesday, 27 October, at 09.30.
The hut had “España” written on it and was painted in the colours of the Spanish flag. Prosecutors say the pair sold cannabis and cocaine from inside it on 2 July 2025. They are also seeking a €32,000 fine for each defendant.
Spain’s National Police arrested the pair and seized various quantities of drugs. Among them was a slab of hashish labelled “Louis Vuitton”.
