Mallorca drug raid tears down nine Son Banya huts
Nine huts used as sales points were demolished in a drug and planning-law operation in the Son Banya settlement in Palma, Mallorca, on Friday. National Police and Palma Local Police seized marijuana, hashish, heroin, cocaine, more than €2,500 and medicine for erectile dysfunction.
The National Police said the items were found at sales points that had been particularly active. Palma City Council ordered the nine huts torn down because they breached municipal planning rules.
More than 30 Palma Local Police officers joined more than 50 officers from the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade, the Drugs and Organised Crime Unit and the Prevention and Response Unit in the operation.
