Mallorca's Son Espases wins TOP 20 heart care award

Mallorca’s Son Espases University Hospital wins a TOP 20 award for heart care. The prize recognises Spanish hospitals for quality, efficiency, results and effective management. The Balearic Islands’ health department announced the award on 16 October 2026.
The hospital’s heart care area brings together cardiology, cardiac surgery, anaesthesia and intensive care, including its coronary unit and care after heart surgery. It has received eight awards in recent years, the department says.
Cardiology chief Vicente Peral and hospital director Cristina Granados collected the IASIST prize at a ceremony in Madrid.
