Son Espases nursing chief quits after 2½ years
Natalia Vallés has stepped down as nursing director at Son Espases University Hospital in Palma on Thursday, after more than two and a half years in the post. The Balearic Health Service, IBSalut, confirmed her resignation. Vallés says she is moving to another autonomous community to begin a new stage in her career.
In a letter to her managers, Vallés said the decision was “strictly personal” and asked that it not be used for “other interpretations”.

Vallés said her change of residence was the reason for leaving Son Espases. She also thanked her colleagues and singled out the hospital management team, saying its commitment and dedication had helped move proposed projects forward.
Other departures at Son Espases
Her departure follows other changes among senior staff at the Palma hospital. José Antonio Visedo, director of Management and General Services, left his post at the end of August.
Former communications chief Sabrina Vidal also resigned. She had reported an alleged case of workplace bullying.
