Son Llàtzer operations rise in Palma
Son Llàtzer University Hospital in Palma, Mallorca, carried out 7,917 operations between January and July 2026, 371 more than in the same period last year. The 4.9% increase was reported by the Balearic Islands Ministry of Health on Thursday, 20 August.
Planned and urgent surgery
Planned procedures accounted for 7,027 of the operations, up by 342 or 5.1% on the January-to-July total in 2025.
Urgent surgery also increased, with 890 procedures recorded, a rise of 3.4%.
Outpatient appointments
The hospital handled more than 362,000 outpatient consultations in the first seven months of 2026, around 1,300 more than during the corresponding period in 2025.
First appointments rose by 4.1% to 56,526, an increase of almost 2,200 patients.
