Mallorca hospital hears patients on improving care
Mallorca’s University Hospital Son Llàtzer in Palma puts patients’ experiences at the centre of a meeting on Wednesday, 30 September: staff will hear how treatment has worked for them and where care might improve. It is the third event marking the hospital’s 25th anniversary.
Patients and hospital staff will share real cases to show how patients’ views can reveal needs and help staff review the way care is delivered. Intensive care doctor Gabriel Heras will then speak about listening to patients in demanding treatment settings.
Son Llàtzer will also present work on sepsis care, cardiac rehabilitation and palliative care. Later talks turn to the social responsibility of hospitals, followed by a discussion of ethical questions. The meeting will end with an official closing.
