Palma's Son Moix women's changing room closes for works
At the Son Moix Municipal Sports Palace in Palma, Mallorca, the third-floor women's changing room is out of use while workers redo the showers. Palma City Council said on Tuesday, 20 October, that its Municipal Sports Institute has begun the 35,260-euro project. The work is expected to take about a month and a half.
Workers will strip out the existing finishes, seal the floor and give it new slopes before laying non-slip ceramic floor tiles and new wall tiles.
The men's changing room on the same floor has reopened after a full renovation in July. Workers also replaced all its lights with LED fittings and painted the ceiling. The council says both projects aim to modernise the sports facilities and make them more functional.
